Cookie policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
1. What cookies are and who is responsible
This website does not install advertising cookies or use third-party analytics tools. It only stores small technical items of data in your browser and, if you accept, first-party statistics data. The office map, which comes from an external service, is also only shown if you allow it.
Cookies are files that a website stores on the device of the person visiting it. The browser’s local storage (localStorage) and session storage (sessionStorage) serve a similar function. Article 22.2 of Law 34/2002 (LSSI) and the Spanish Data Protection Agency’s Guide on the use of cookies treat them in the same way. In this policy we call all of them “cookies”.

2. What types of cookies we use
All cookies on this website are first-party, that is, they are managed by Audalia from its own domain. They fall into two groups. In addition, we ask your permission to show one item of external content:
Technical or necessary. They allow the website to work and remember your choice about cookies. They do not require your consent (Article 22.2 LSSI).
Analytics. They allow us to understand how the website is used: where visits come from, which pages are viewed and how long visitors stay. They are only activated if you accept them, with “Accept all” or by switching them on in “Cookie settings”.
External content: office map. It does not install cookies, but when the map loads OpenStreetMap and unpkg.com receive your IP address. That is why it is only shown if you allow it (section 5).
We do not use advertising or social media cookies, or tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity. Videos are not embedded: the videos section links to an external website.
3. Technical or necessary cookies
These cookies are stored without the need for consent because they are essential to provide the service you request.
| Name | Type | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| bt-cookie-consent | Local storage | 12 months; after that we ask you again | Stores your choice for each category (first-party analytics and map) and the date you made it, so we do not ask you again on every visit and can evidence your consent |
| bt-chat-session | Session storage | Until you close the tab | Random identifier of the conversation with the Audal-IA virtual assistant. It prevents the chat from restarting when the page is reloaded and allows usage limits to be applied |
| bt_news_shuffle_seed | Session storage | Until you close the tab | Random number that keeps the same order of the “Your news” articles during your visit |
The website also has an internal administration panel, reserved for the Audalia team, which uses a session cookie (bt_admin_session, 8 hours). This cookie is not installed for visitors.
4. Analytics cookies (only with your consent)
These cookies are stored only if you accept them, with “Accept all” or by switching on “First-party analytics” in “Cookie settings”. If you reject them or do not respond to the notice, they are not stored and no data is sent to our statistics.
| Name | Type | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| bt_visit_count | Local storage | No automatic expiry: until you delete the site data or withdraw your consent | Number of visits from your browser, to distinguish new and returning visitors |
| bt_visit_session_id | Session storage | Until you close the tab | Random identifier of the visit, to group page views within the same session |
| bt_visit_paths | Session storage | Until you close the tab | Pages browsed during the visit (maximum 50) |
| bt_visit_counted | Session storage | Until you close the tab | Prevents the same visit from being counted twice |
| bt_session_start | Session storage | Until you close the tab | Start time of the visit, to calculate the time spent on the website |
| bt_traffic_source | Session storage | Until you close the tab | Origin of the visit: search engine, direct access, another website or campaign |
| bt_pages_viewed | Session storage | Until you close the tab | Service pages viewed during the visit |
| bt_utm_topics | Session storage | Until you close the tab | Topic of interest inferred from the campaign through which you arrive |
What data is recorded
With your consent, each visit is recorded in our internal statistics panel with the following data: origin of the visit, pages browsed, time on the website, number of visits, language, device type, operating system, browser user agent and country. The country is obtained from the approximate geolocation provided by our hosting provider, Cloudflare. Of your IP address we only keep an encrypted fingerprint (hash), never the full address.
If you also send us an enquiry through the form or the chat, the origin of the visit, the service pages viewed and the topic of interest are attached to your enquiry to direct it to the right specialist. That processing is explained in the Privacy Policy.
5. Third-party services
We have not detected that these services install cookies in your browser. However, when serving you their content they receive your IP address and technical browser data, as happens with any internet resource.
| Provider | What it provides | When it loads | Data it receives |
|---|---|---|---|
| OpenStreetMap Foundation and unpkg.com | Map of the office (Leaflet library and map tiles) | Only if you allow it: with “Accept all”, by switching on “External content: office map” in “Cookie settings”, or with the “Show map” button in the contact section | IP address and technical browser data |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosting and delivery of the website | On all pages | IP address and technical browser data |
| Anthropic | Processing of the virtual assistant’s messages, from our server | Only if you use the chat | The content of the messages. It installs nothing in your browser |
Each provider processes this data in accordance with its own privacy policy. Links to external websites, such as the videos site, only take you there if you click; from that point their own cookie policies apply.
6. How to accept, reject or withdraw your consent
You can change your decision at any time, as easily as you made it.
When you enter the website. The cookie notice offers three buttons: “Accept all” and “Reject”, with equal weight, and “Customise”, which opens a panel to choose by category. If you close or ignore the notice, only technical cookies are used.
In the “Cookie settings” panel. It shows three categories: technical or necessary (always active), first-party analytics and external content (office map). The last two are switched off by default. You can switch them on one by one and click “Save choices”, or choose “Accept all” or “Reject all”.
Afterwards. Click the “Cookie settings” link in the footer to reopen the panel with your current choice and change it. If you withdraw your consent to analytics, we delete the analytics data stored in your browser and stop recording your visits from that moment on. If you withdraw it for the map, it is no longer shown.
How long your choice lasts. We store your choice, together with the date you made it, for 12 months. After that period, or if we change this policy in a way that affects cookies that require consent, we will ask you again.
From your browser. You can delete or block cookies and stored site data in the privacy section of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge or other browsers. Local storage is deleted with the option to delete “site data” or “browsing data”.
If you block all cookies in your browser, some features, such as the virtual assistant, may not work properly.
7. International transfers, more information and changes
Some of the providers in section 5 are based in the United States (Cloudflare and Anthropic). Data transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to [email protected]. You will find all the information on the processing of your data in the Privacy Policy. If you consider that we have not handled your request properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
We may update this policy if the cookies used by the website or the regulations change. We will always publish the current version with its update date. If the change affects cookies that require consent, we will ask for your choice again.
